Recently, there were two Worthing Borough Council by-elections, in Marine (19 September) and Heene (10 October). Worthing Green Party were proud to put forward candidates for each of these two by-elections, Jimi Taylor in Marine and Katie Thorton in Heene. Conservative candidates won in both wards, but our Green candidates received significant shares of the votes. In Heene, Katie received more than 10% of the vote share, the third highest of the candidates running!
Jimi said: “A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who voted for the Green Party in the recent Marine and Heene by-elections! Your support is a powerful step toward a sustainable future and a greener tomorrow. Worthing, let’s keep the momentum going!”
And Katie said: “Very grateful to all of you who voted for the Green Party in the Marine and Heene by-elections. Thank-you for turning up and believing in our vision for a Greener future.
